After Real Madrid given £100m price Bale gets angry with Tottenham

Posted on July 26, 2013 by admin

Any ideas of Real Madrid getting an easy ride from Tottenham Hotspur because of the special relationship that the two clubs were alleged to have agreed on after the transfer of Luka Modric last summer can be put to one side. The Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy seems determined to make it as hard as possible for Madrid to complete the transfer that would be the cherry on the top of a fantastic summer at the Santiago Bernabeu.

As far as Madrid are concerned, it is up to Levy to do his business however he sees fit. The Premier League club are planning to offer their Welsh international star a hugely improved new contract worth around £150,000 a week, while Levy has apparently told Madrid that they will need to smash the world transfer record, the £80 million paid for Cristiano Ronaldo, and pay over £100 million to land Bale. Bale may be good, but there is no way he is worth more than CR7.

However, according to Marca, the 24-year old is said to be furious and feels that Levy is breaking a promise made to him when he decided to renew his contract last summer. According to the report, Levy persuaded Bale to stay and help Tottenham get inti the Champions League by saying he would allow him to leave if they did not reach that competition and a big club came in for him.

The paper claims that Bale told Levy in a meeting last week that he wants to play for Madrid and Levy should stand by his promise and negotiate the deal. The crazy price that Levy has quoted is clearly designed to scupper the move and Bale feels his dream move is being blocked by his chairman in a direct violation of their agreement. If this sounds familiar, it is. Levy did the same thing with Luka Modric, blocking an earlier transfer to Chelsea and being as awkward as possible with Madrid, who had to pay well over the odds to finally sign him. Maybe Bale should have thought about that before renewing his contract last year.

Levy is a b’stard, but clearly he holds all the cards and he knows how to do business. Its Real’s fault to always end up in the negotiating end of it. Just buy Suarez and keep Bale out, make him furious

What ‘special relationship’? The one where Madrid negotiate with Bale’s agent without bothering to contact Tottenham to formally open negotiations? The one that see’s Madrid feed it’s lying whore press?

This is all about Neymar, all about Neymar and Messi in the same team. Had he signed for Real, Bale would be not talked about, but now Barca have put the pressure really on Perez to find a ‘Robin’ for Roanldo’s Batman.

My only concern is why Bale would want to play for the 2nd best team in Spain, and probably the 6th best in the world. Oh, the money, right?

It’ll cost 110,000,00 euro’s to get to the table, suckers.
