Ancelotti wary of AVB as Real Madrid close on Bale transfer

The manager of Real Madrid may have been somewhat tongue in cheek when he spoke about the anger of his counterpart at Tottenham Hotspur, but Carlo Ancelotti did show Andre Villas-Boas the courtesy of not speaking about the ongoing case of Gareth Bale.

“I will not talk about Bale, because he(AVB) got angry, and I hate a coach that is angry,” said Ancelotti.

“I said nithing in particular, but I would rather not talk about it.”

He may soon be able to talk about Bale as much as he wants, because there is a good chance that the Welsh international star will soon be a Real Madrid player. The presidents of the two clubs, Florentino Perez and Daniel Levy, are due to meet today in Miami, and I don’t think they are going to be talking about anything other than Bale.

Levy is a tough negotiator, but Bale and his representatives have made their position clear, while another member of the North London club has issued a statement suggesting that they are resigned to losing their best player. Levy will not be happy with the words of Sir Keith Mills, because they weaken his position.

Levy wants around £100 million for Bale and is hoping to get Alvaro Morata in the deal as well, but I am confident that he will have to accept something a bit more realistic.
