Atletico have clause to prevent Falcao joining Real Madrid

There have been lots of rumours about the Colombian striker Radamel Falcao and which club he might transfer to in the summer. Real Madrid are understandably keen to sign the prolific hit man, but it appears that they would have to pay their local city rivals much more than any other club to do so.

AS has reported that Atletico Madrid have put a clause into Falcao’s contract that means he would cost their city rivals Real €75 million, whereas any other club would only pay €60 million. Whether this will put Real Madrid off or not is unclear, but it does make it less likely.

Chelsea are currently favourites to nail the prolific hitman after his amazing hat-trick against them in the European SuperCup, and if you are prepared have a wager on that then check out these bonus updates before parting with your hard-earned cash!

Another former Atletico striker could be on his way to the Bernabeu this summer, though. Apparently Sergio Aguero has expressed his desire to play for the Spanish champions. The Argentinean forward is said to be unsettled at Manchester City and wants to be closer to his son. His former wife, the daughter of Diego Maradona has moved back to Madrid, and Aguero wants to be closer to their son. He has made no secret of his wish to play for Real Madrid one day, but Manchester City will not want to lose him, as they have already sold Mario Balotelli this season.
