Bookies back Bale despite Real Madrid UCL exit!

It has been a bad week for Gareth Bale and Real Madrid, without a shadow of a doubt. The Wales international may have been looking forward to getting back onto the pitch after his latest injury lay off, but his first match back was against Juventus in Turin and not only did he fail to help Real Madrid to avoid defeat, he was unanimously slated for his performance against the Italian champions.

The fans might blame Bale for that and the weekend draw with Valencia that looks to have handed the La Liga title to our fierce rivals Barcelona and they were certainly on the Welshman´s back last night as he missed a couple of good chances, but the bookmakers are betting that the club does not see things the same way and have him as odds on to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

If you think they are wrong, and many do, then you should check out bonus.org.uk which has all sorts of offers and daily deals. There has been a lot written in the Spanish media slating Bale but they also seem to think that the Madrid president Florentino Perez is determined to stick with the player that he made the most expensive transfer in football history. To be fair to Bale he has already proved himself since joining from Spurs and has many years ahead of him.

The manager Carlo Ancelotti is not likely to be so lucky and unless Barcelona slip up in the league and allow Madrid to pip them at the post it will be a sad end to a promising season and the manager usually pays the price. I would not bet on Barca slipping up though and even if they do I suspect that Madrid will have a new man in charge next season so even though the odds might not be great, it is a pretty safe bet.
