Can Bale complete the Real Madrid puzzle?

Posted on August 23, 2013 by admin

After months and months of speculation, it finally looks like the Gareth Bale transfer to Real Madrid saga is ending. There will be no more day-by-day updates or pointless updates on Sky Sports News and finally everything can settle down and we can focus on football once more.

Whether it happens today or tomorrow or even after the weekend, at least the picture for both clubs will be a little clearer and you would think both squads will be settled and ready for the new season. The capture of Bale will allow Carlo Ancelotti to build his team under a new era as he looks to overcome Barcelona, who themselves are under a period of transition. However, with Bale coming with a hefty price tag, will he be worth it and complete the Madrid team?

With Cristiano Ronaldo supporting Karim Benzema, Bale could also provide a pivotal role with his direct running and fantastic speed, adding another dimension to the Madrid attack. After a spectacular season last year, Bale will do well to repeat his success with the added issue of adjusting to a different league.

The pundits on betfair.com believe Bale is injury-prone and will struggle to adjust to the quality of playing for one of Europe’s biggest clubs and, with a transfer fee of over £90m, they’ll be many who doubt his ability to succeed.

Nevertheless, something about Bale could cause countless problems for many teams; on his day, he was unstoppable in the Premier League and a forward three of Ronaldo, Bale, and Benzema should send shivers down the spines of Barcelona and co.
