Zidane Insists Real Madrid Have to Ride out Slump 0

Posted on November 06, 2017 by admin

The spotlight at Real Madrid is always going to be a lot more intense when things begin to go wrong. For managers and players alike, there is no place to hide when the going becomes uncomfortable.

That is the price to pay for representing one of the world’s most decorated and prestigious clubs. It can sometimes only take only one loss to have the press and pundits beginning to turn the knife. After Real Madrid went down to Spurs 3-1 at Wembley in matchday four of the Champions League, it became apparent all was not well at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Bale back to help Real Madrid win make or break Atletico derby 0

The situation at Real Madrid this season has become serious, and at least one player is willing to do whatever it takes to help put things right when the Spanish La Liga season gets back underway after the current break for international breaks, as Gareth Bale has decided not to join up with the Wales national team and will instead remain in Spain to work on his fitness, Sky Sports reports.

Top 5 Cristiano Ronaldo moments in a Real Madrid shirt 0

In Sunday’s first ‘El Classico’ of the season, fans of Spain’s immovable two were treated to the best and worst of Cristiano Ronaldo. Three minutes after Lionel Messi had equalised for Barcelona from the spot, and reignited the Nou Camp in the first leg of the Spanish super cup, a brilliant Ronaldo goal from the edge of the box silenced the home crowd instantly. It should have been the main talking point of the match. Instead, Ronaldo defied his usually sportsmanlike nature and pushed the referee in dissent, earning himself a second yellow card and a dismissal.

Real Madrid transfer news – Morata, Rodriguez, Bale, Ronaldo OUT? Mbappe IN? 0

There is still quite a wait for the fans of Real Madrid and the other clubs around the big football leagues in Europe, with the first games of the new La Liga season still almost two months away. So with only the under 21 euros and the Confederations Cup to divert us, this summer is tough for football fans to take.

With La Liga done Real Madrid are good bet for Champions League 0

Posted on April 11, 2017 by admin

You might think I am being a bit presumptuous about Real Madrid having the Spanish title sewn up, as Los Blancos still have eight La Liga games to play and are only three points above our main rivals FC Barcelona, who we still have to play in the second El Clasico of the season.

But Madrid have one more game to play than Barca and after they were soundly beaten away to Malaga at the weekend it seems fairly clear that this version of the Catalan side are not quite as good as they used to be. So with the second El Clasico due to take place at the Santiago Bernabeu the bookies do not expect us to lose and even if we do it would not stop Real Madrid from being top of the table.

Bale return makes Real Madrid great bet for Champions League 0

Posted on February 03, 2017 by admin

To be honest I am surprised that Real Madrid are currently only the third favourites to lift the Champions League trophy once again this season, with Barcelona first favourites and Bayern Munich second. So even though our Wales international star Gareth Bale is still not fit enough to feature for Los Blancos, I think that we must be a good bet to be crowned champions of Europe once more.

Zidane selects solid Real Madrid XI for El Clasico at Barcelona 0

To be fair to Zinedine Zidane, he does not need his Real Madrid side to win today’s El Clasico clash away to Barcelona, as Los Blancos already have a six point league over our rivals in Spain’s La Liga table. The boss does not want them to close the gap, of course, especially after losing the star forward Gareth Bale to a long term injury.

A draw would be a perfectly good result for Madrid and I think we can see that with the starting line up Zidane has picked for today, with Kovacevic alongside Modric in the centre of midfield to add plenty of strength and make it difficult for Barca to play their usual fluent style of football.

Bale injury to hurt Real Madrid in Clasico AND Champions League? 0

Posted on November 23, 2016 by admin

The latest version of the long running battle between Real Madrid and our La Liga rivals from Catalan will be foremost in the minds of Madrid fans after the news reported by Sky Sports about the injury to Gareth Bale. But the El Clasico match against Barcelona in 10 days is not the only big match coming up, making the Welshman’s absence the worst possible timing.

Derby win to make Real Madrid BIG La Liga favourites 0

Posted on November 17, 2016 by admin

Last season saw Real Madrid need a fantastic late run of results in La Liga just to get close to the eventual title winners Barcelona and put pressure on their fierce rivals, but this time the football boot has been on the other foot so to speak.

This season it has been the turn of Zinedine Zidane and the Real Madrid players to start quickly and race to the top of the Spanish table, while Luis Enrique and Barca endured a terrible start and have struggled to keep in touch. Our other main rivals Atletico Madrid have fared even worse and are currently six points behind us down in fourth place.

Ronaldo up for Leganes but Real Madrid need clean sheet 0

Posted on November 05, 2016 by admin

The opponents for Real Madrid today are Leganes and the newly promoted club will be massive underdogs to take anything away from the Santiago Bernabeu, especially after losing their last three La Liga matches in a row while Los Blancos stay two points clear of Barcelona at the top.

Not everything has been going fright for Madrid of late, however, with top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo having looked out of sorts and with the side needing a late goal away to the Polish club Legia Warsaw in midweek just to rescue a Champions League point.
