Zidane selects solid Real Madrid XI for El Clasico at Barcelona 0

Posted on December 03, 2016 by admin

To be fair to Zinedine Zidane, he does not need his Real Madrid side to win today’s El Clasico clash away to Barcelona, as Los Blancos already have a six point league over our rivals in Spain’s La Liga table. The boss does not want them to close the gap, of course, especially after losing the star forward Gareth Bale to a long term injury.

A draw would be a perfectly good result for Madrid and I think we can see that with the starting line up Zidane has picked for today, with Kovacevic alongside Modric in the centre of midfield to add plenty of strength and make it difficult for Barca to play their usual fluent style of football.

Derby win to make Real Madrid BIG La Liga favourites 0

Last season saw Real Madrid need a fantastic late run of results in La Liga just to get close to the eventual title winners Barcelona and put pressure on their fierce rivals, but this time the football boot has been on the other foot so to speak.

This season it has been the turn of Zinedine Zidane and the Real Madrid players to start quickly and race to the top of the Spanish table, while Luis Enrique and Barca endured a terrible start and have struggled to keep in touch. Our other main rivals Atletico Madrid have fared even worse and are currently six points behind us down in fourth place.

Ronaldo up for Leganes but Real Madrid need clean sheet 0

The opponents for Real Madrid today are Leganes and the newly promoted club will be massive underdogs to take anything away from the Santiago Bernabeu, especially after losing their last three La Liga matches in a row while Los Blancos stay two points clear of Barcelona at the top.

Not everything has been going fright for Madrid of late, however, with top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo having looked out of sorts and with the side needing a late goal away to the Polish club Legia Warsaw in midweek just to rescue a Champions League point.

Benzema back in strong Real Madrid XI for Champions League 0

Could this be the year that a club becomes the first ever to win the Champions League in back to back seasons? If it is then it will be Real Madrid making it and recording an amazing 12th European cup triumph, way more than any other club.

And with the huge experience in the playing squad as well as the manager Zinedine Zidane Madrid have the tools for the job. The Frenchman clearly wants to make no mistakes and get off to the best possible start tonight, which is obvious from the strong line up Zidane has picked to face Sporting Lisbon of Portugal at home tonight.

Last season, Real Madrid defied the odds to win the UEFA Champions League in Zinedine Zidane’s first season as head coach of the first team. The Los Blancos legend stepped in after Rafael Benitez was sacked midway through the campaign and showed his worth as he led Madrid to an unprecedented 11th European Cup triumph. But now Real are on the hunt for number 12 – and everybody associated with the club will be quietly confident of defending their title this season…

Real Madrid need to beat Sevilla without Ronaldo to kick off La Liga 0

Despite the fact that Real Madrid fans have had to suffer in recent years as the traditional title of the best team in Spain has been usurped by the Catalan rivals FC Barcelona, especially in the league. Eight of the last 12 La Liga titles have gone to our great rivals and one has been taken by our city rivals Atletico Madrid and that is simply not good enough.

Can Real Madrid reclaim their La Liga crown from Barcelona? 0

Zinedine Zidane will hope that his Real Madrid stars return back from international duty for their respective countries at Euro 2016 and the Copa America fit and raring to go ahead of the new La Liga season. Many players, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, showed the football world just how good they are with performances and goals which lit the tournament up, with Ronaldo and Pepe reporting back to the Bernabeau with yet another winner’s medal following Portugal’s victory against France at the Stade de France.

Zidane to keep same Real Madrid XI for Champions League final? 0

As Real Madrid still had a chance of nipping ahead of great rivals Barcelona to win this season’s La Liga title and be crowned champions of Spain, Zinedine Zidane would have had no thoughts of rotating his squad and resting players for the Champions League final, which they are favourites to win with every online Sportsbook.

Only a win would do for Real Madrid last weekend, which we got but unfortunately so did Barca meaning that we fell just short. However, with the boss having no injury problems to concern him, it looks like team that started against Deportivo La Coruna in the final league game is what Zidane sees as his best XI, so will that be the same side that starts the Champions League final against city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday?

The sixth Madrid derby of the season takes place at the Vicente Calderón Stadium on Saturday and Real Madrid are yet to win one this season. Although the derby tables have completely turned on their head since Diego Simeone took over at Atletico, there is still plenty of expectation amongst fans and a high demand for Real Madrid tickets ahead of this game.

Winning the Champions League may have come as no surprise behind the doors at Real Madrid, but there is every possibility that their 10th major European title may be the beginning of a new chapter for Los Blancos. Possessing arguably the strongest squad in world football provides Carlo Ancelotti to bring more success to the Santiago Bernabau, yet there are old scores to be settled during the upcoming season.
