Club legend Raul rates Bale but warns Real Madrid he is too pricey!

Raul Gonzalez has Real Madrid running through him, after coming up through the youth system to play over 700 first team competitive games for the club before leaving for Schalke in the German Bundesliga three years ago. He knows a thing or two about quality players as well, having played alongside such football greats as Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and many more.

So when Raul gives an opinion on a potential Real Madrid transfer, it is worth listening to. The former Spanish international striker believes that Tottenham Hotspur are asking for way too much money for their Wales international star Gareth Bale, although he does think that Bale is an exceptional player.

The media rumours and speculation about the player are still ongoing and the player is not going to feature foe the Premier League club in the Europa League this week. Their chairman Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator, but it is beginning to look like Madrid might have a stronger bargaining position. The London club has been spending lots of money and is about to spend a ;lot more apparently, which will leave them massively over extended unless they sell Bale.

Ancelotti has declared that he is happy with his squad as it is, despite struggling to a narrow win over Real Betis on Sunday. Isco, Carvajal and Casemiro all looked like good additions, while Illarramendi will soon be fit to strengthen the midfield and give the attacking players a platform. We already have Ronaldo, so getting Bale is not important enough to be paying nearly £100 million. Is he worth more than 3 times the value of Isco? Perez should offer Levy £70 million, take it or leave it.
