DONE DEAL as Real Madrid snap up Man United striker!!

As Real Madrid slumped to a shock defeat at Villareal last night after going in to a 2-0 defeat and looking nailed on to increase the lead, it was the defensive side of Madrid that looked like it could do with a boost. But it is the forward are that Carlo Ancelotti has improved on deadline day.

As Sky Sports have just reported, Madrid have sealed the deal with Manchester United for their Mexico international Javier Hernandez. Commonly known as Chicharito which means `little pea`, the 26-year old has joined on a season long loan deal. The contract also apparently includes a clause which gives Madrid the option to sign him on a permanent basis if we want to.

The striker has become increasingly frustrated at Old Trafford in recent years as he slid down the pecking order and out of favour despite his impressive scoring record. He may not bring the same all-round play and work rate as players like Rooney, but Chicharito is all about scoring goals.

He is a fine finisher and comes alive in the box, so he could be just the right signing for Madrid, especially with us missing the goals of Cristiano Ronaldo and having allowed Alvaro Morata to leave. But the defensive side is still a big concern for Madrid fans, although there is still time….
