Isco and Lewandowski top targets for Real Madrid

Posted on May 21, 2013 by admin

Real Madrid know all about Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international striker has been a real thorn in the side of Madrid this season. He scored against Real in the group stages of the Champions League and led Borussia Dortmund to top the group ahead of Madrid. The real damage came in the semi-final, when his four goals in the first leg effectively ended the tie.

It is perhaps not too surprising, then, that 24-year old Lewandowski is apparently one of the top two transfer targets at the Bernabeu. His 36 goals this season and the 30 he scored last year are only part of the story. He is technically gifted, strong and fast and links up brilliantly with his team mates. It might not be easy, though, as Bayern Munich and Manchester United are both chasing him.

The other target is the young, Spanish midfield star Isco from Malaga. He is the target of a number of big clubs around Europe, including Manchester City where his current manager is likely to go. There is talk of an exchange deal including Luka Modric, but the Croatian has really settled in and we don’t want to lose him. Malag need money, so will accept a good offer, as long as Madrid can persuade Isco to ignore the other suitors. It does have it’s advantages being the biggest club in the world!
