Isco in and Coentrao out of Real Madrid?

Posted on May 24, 2013 by admin

The Portuguese left back Fabio Coentrao had better hope that somebody wants to sign him from Real Madrid, because he has effectively burnt his bridges with the club’s fans by issuing a statement about how unhappy he is and has been since arriving at the Bernabeu.

Coentrao said, “From the first day I do not think I was wanted here.

“Today it seems like everyone wants me to leave the club. I don’t know what I’ve done wrong.

“We must find a solution that is good for both the club and myself, so that no-one will lose out.”

That is where we get to the crux of the problem. The Madrid fans have not been too hard on Coentrao and his performances, he has been well appreciated at the Bernabeu, but the transfer fee of 30 million euros paid by Mourinho has always seemed too much. Especially when you hear that Mourinho wants to sign him for his new club Chelsea for about half that amount. He is linked with Mourinho, whether that is fair or not, and that does not help the Madrid fans to love him, but the club will demand a decent transfer fee in order to let him go.

There are lots of stories in the Spanish media about the midfielder Isco from Malaga, and most of them seem to think that he will soon be a Real Madrid player. The young Spanish international has been in sensational form for Malaga this season and has been linked with big clubs all over Europe.

The director of Malaga has revealed Madrid’s interest, but insisted that Isco will only be sold if a club agrees to pay his release clause of around £30 million. Madrid, apparently, want to pay less, but are willing to let Callejon go the other way to sweeten the deal.
