Now PSG want to hijack Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid

These French clubs are really starting to get on my nerves. Real Madrid have already lost out to Monaco for Radamel Falcao, with rumours about them also planning a massive bid for our best player Cristiano Ronaldo. PSG appear to want to get in on the act now, with a bid to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham ahead of Madrid.

Florentino Perez has been careful to act with respect in the attempt to make Carlo Ancelotti the new man in charge at the Bernabeu, because he still has a year left on his contract with the French champions. According to the English media, the Qatari owners of PSG are determined to outbid Madrid for Bale, although the Welshman has already spoken about his respect for the Spanish giants.

Bale has not even decided to leave Tottenham, who are desperate to keep him, but the amount of money involved, which could be even more than the fee Madrid paid to Manchester United for Ronaldo, would be very hard for the club to turn down. Bale is currently on holiday with his family in America, and there is a lot of talking to be done yet.

Another way PSG are trying to get ahead in this transfer saga, is by signing Bale’s current manager at Tottenham, Andre Villas-Boas, as the replacement for Ancelotti. The Portuguese coach apparently has a great rapport with his star player, so that could be a significant move, if it comes about. It certainly appears that Perez and Real Madrid will not have things their own way this summer.
