Real Madrid boss asures fans Bale is NOT injured and WILL face Villareal

There have been some real concerns among Real Madrid fans and some sections of the Spanish media this week. Following the decision of the football authorities to uphold the red card shown to Cristiano Ronaldo last weekend, this weekend’s La Liga clash with Villareal was looking like a tough one.

Gareth Bale has missed the last three games with injury, after suffering a painful kick to his privates, but he should have been back by now and there have been suggestions that the talented Welshman had suffered a recurrence of the calf problem that was dogging him earlier in the season.

But Carlo Ancelotti has flatly refuted these rumours, as reported by Sky Sports, and revealed that he could have played Bale in Wednesday’s Copa Del Rey clash against Atletico. The boss chose to save him, though, with Ronaldo set to start his three game ban this weekend.

Villareal will be tough opponents at the Bernabeu tomorrow. They are currently 5th in the league and are just three points behind Athletic Bilbao in the race for the 4th Champions League spot. Although Bale is set to start, he will not be a direct replacement for Ronaldo. Bale will start on the right and it will be young Jese Rodriguez who fills in for the Ballon D’Or winner.
