Real Madrid in perfect shape to face Man Utd

Jose Mourinho could not have wished for a better build up to the second leg against Manchester United tomorrow. After the 1-1 scoreline at the Bernabeu in the first leg, the tie is on a knife edge, but the Madrid team has hit good form and confidence at just the right time following back to back wins against Barcelona.

Not too long ago the Spanish media was full of stories about arguments in the dressing room. There was talk of rifts between the players and between some players and Mourinho, with some suggesting the coach was on the verge of being sacked. The prospect of two games against the league leaders just before the trip to Manchester was thought to be too much for them, but it has worked out exactly the opposite.

Mourinho has rallied his players brilliantly, and you could see the determination and togetherness in the last two games. Now it is the team from the Nou Camp that is nearly out of the Champions League, while Madrid are going to the final of the Spanish cup and looking good to progress in Europe.

Of course, Manchester United are no pushovers, but when Madrid are in form, they are confident of beating anyone. And we have Ronaldo.
