There will be a new look to the Real Madrid midfield in the coming season. Jose Mourinho is in the market for a creative and attacking midfielder and, according to The Sun, he is about to offer 37 million euros for Manchester City player David Silva.

Silva told the press earlier this year that he was happy at Man City and planned to stay their for many years but Mourinho is determined to at least try an approach. Roberto Mancini regards Silva as one of his best players so would be loath to lose him.

Kaka has dropped hints while back in his native Brazil that he will not be playing at Madrid next season. This has alerted his former club AC Milan as well as Chelsea and Tottenham about a possible transfer, according to AS.

Another player on Madrid’s radar is Tottenham and Croatia playmaker Luka Modric. Mourinho is a big admirer of the player, who is known to want a move to a bigger club and they don’t come much bigger than Real Madrid. His performances at Euro 2012 have confirmed that he is at home on the biggest stage and former Madrid star Davor Suker has been talking up his chances of a move.
Tottenham may prefer to sell him to another country, rather than to an English rival. There are some rumours that Madrid are preparing a large bid for him as well.

Portuguese newspapers seem to think that 23-year old Belgian international Axel Witsel will soon be transferring from Benfica to the Bernabeu for around £30 million. Earlier this week Benfica denied that there was any contact between the two clubs, so we will have to wait and see.
