Ronaldo WILL sign new Real Madrid contract says Ancelotti

Real Madrid are having an exciting and successful summer so far in the transfer market, with the arrival of some top young Spanish talent in Isco and Asier Illarramendi. The most important transfer, though, for the club and the fans, is that of Cristiano Ronaldo.

We have already heard that he would not be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, which was a great relief, but that also left us with the prospect of having to sell the Portuguese star next summer or lose him for nothing the year after. It now appears, though, that Ronaldo and the new manager Carlo Ancelotti are getting along famously, because the Italian has expressed his assurance that Ronaldo will extend his current contract with Madrid.

Ancelotti told the media, “Everyone knows that Ronaldo is a phenomenon, a great goal scorer.

“I am not responsible for the renewal of his contract, but it won’t be a problem.”

The main reason for the speculation about Ronaldo leaving was that the player had revealed that he was unhappy. However, during Jose Mourinho’s time in charge of the club, it seemed that almost every player was unhappy at one time or another. One of the reasons that Florentino Perez was so determined to get Ancelotti to replace him, was his reputation for being a gentleman as well as his success.

Ronaldo now has no reason to want to leave the Spanish capital, so Perez should get that new contract and a pen in front of the 28-year old as soon as possible.
