There seems to be all sorts of things going on at Real Madrid at the minute, with different rumours every day about Mourinho, the players and who will go, who will stay and who could be coming to join them. Despite this and the selection problems caused by injury and disagreements between coach and players, Real Madrid are still seen as nailed on favourites to win the Copa Del Rey final on Friday night.

Real Madrid could have a real problem on their hands, if the stories in the media about their approach to the new French champions is true that is. Although there is still no official announcement or even acknowledgemnet that Jose Mourinho will leave the Bernabeu this summer, it is the worst kept secret in sport.

It seems as if Florentino Perez and officials at Madrid have decided that the 53-year old Italian, Carlo Ancelotti, is the man to succeed Mourinho, but his current club have rejected the approach by Real, according to the PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi.

Throughout his career, Jose Mourinho has been known for saying surprising things to the media, but since he arrived at Real Madrid he has taken it to another level. At times during his reign at the Bernabeu, he has seemed more intent on his battles with the Spanish press than he has on football and this is one of the main reasons that the fans of the club never really took to him.

Geoffrey Kondogbia has been one of the best young players in the Spanish Primera Liga this season. Real Madrid are just one of the big clubs linked with a possible transfer this summer and the 20-year old Sevilla midfielder has offered plenty of encouragement to officials at the Bernabeu who may be considering signing him.

With Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all believed to be keen on the French under-20 international, Kondogbia was asked about a possible move from Sevilla this summer and which of the clubs most interested him and he was fairly unequivocal in his reply.

Future is clear as mud for Mourinho at Real Madrid 0

I am not sure if Jose Mourinho is simply having fun at the expense of the journalists he has such an uneasy relationship with. I suspect he is, but the continually changing rumours cannot be good for the fans or the players of Real Madrid.

One minute he is determined to stay, the next he is going to PSG and taking Cristiano Ronaldo with him. I suspect that even Jose does not know for sure where he will be manager next season. It all blew up again this week after he told the president of the club that his son plays for that he would not be at the Bernabeu this season.

Could Benitez replace Mourinho at Real Madrid? 0

Posted on February 20, 2013 by admin

Rafa Benitez began his coaching career at Real Madrid when he was just 26-years old. He was born in Madrid and joined the academy and played over 200 games for Real Madrid Castilla, but his playing career never hit the heights, but he was much more successful as a manager. After great success with Tenerife and Valencia, where he beat the big to to the Spanish title twice and won the Uefa cup, he moved to England and Liverpool where he won the Champions league.

Mourinho has Premier league incentive to guide Real Madrid to beat Man United! 0

Posted on February 13, 2013 by admin

The match tonight between two giants of world football, Real Madrid and Manchester United, has been billed as the game the world is waiting for, among other things. For the players, coaches and everyone involved with the clubs, there is massive importance on this first leg at the Bernabeu.

For Jose Mourinho, however, it holds an extra incentive. The Portuguese manager has spoken before about how he enjoyed his time in charge of Chelsea and how he would like to return one day. He has spoken about it again in the build up to this Champions league double header, and has hinted that he would consider moving back to the Premier league in England sooner rather than later.

Real Madrid close in on Falcao transfer 0

Posted on December 11, 2012 by admin

It is unusual for Real Madrid to sign a player directly from their city rivals, Athletico Madrid, but media reports suggest that it is going to happen with the superstar Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. Athletico have managed to hold on to their player so far, but they expect to come under renewed pressure when the transfer window opens again in January.

Premier league clubs Chelsea and Manchester City were thought to be front runners for the 26-year old hitman, but Real Madrid are planning to step in with a £45 million offer. Relations between the clubs’ staff is pretty good since Jose Mourinho took over, and there is a feeling in Spain that the deal could be done.

Real Madrid could soon have Cole and Essien from Chelsea 0

Posted on October 22, 2012 by admin

Jose Mourinho already has one of his former players from Chelsea in the Real Madrid squad, and could soon add the left back Ashley Cole, according to reports. Mourinho has a good relationship with the players who enjoyed great success with during his time in London.

Michael Essien was brought into the squad in the summer, despite not having played alot for Chelsea, but Mourinho knows the Ghanaian and trusts his talents. This was proved on Saturday when he picked Essien at left back against Celta de Vigo. Essien is not a left back, and Mourinho had called Nacho into the squad from the reserves but gave the starting place to the former Chelsea man. This means that Essien is also likely to start against Dortmund on Wednesday.

Mourinho says Real Madrid will not pursue Falcao 0

Posted on October 13, 2012 by admin

The English Premier league clubs Chelsea and Manchester City will be ecstatic after hearing Jose Mourinho say that Real Madrid are not going to attempt to secure the transfer of the Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from their rivals Athletico Madrid.

Mourinho was giving an interview to A Bola in Portugal when he was asked about the prolific front man, who is level on league goals with Ronaldo and Messi.

“Falcao is a forbidden subject. He is a star and the fundamental player of our great rivals, just as Aguero was before. There is an unofficial sort of non-aggression pact between Madrid and Atletico.”
