Real Madrid CAN upset HUGE La Liga odds!! 0

Posted on May 16, 2015 by admin

I am well aware that Real Madrid have left a mountain to climb in order to win the Spanish La Liga title this year, after the draw with Valencia last weekend allowed our big rivals Barcelona to open up a four point gap with just games left to play.

But I still think that the bookies odds of around 33/1 are pretty generous, especially when you consider that Barcelona travel to Atletico Madrid today and we know all too well that Diego Simeone┬┤s side can beat anyone and are an incredibly tough team to face in their own stadium. You can get an even better deal with this Ladbrokes May 2015 promo code so now would be a great time to have a punt on Madrid upsetting the odds.

Real Madrid punished for not finishing Espanyol 0

Jose Mourinho has admitted that Real Madrid will need a miracle if they are to retain the Spanish Primera Liga title this season. The champions have already dropped more points than they did in the whole of the last campaign, while Barcelona have enjoyed a record breaking start to their season.

Real Madrid should have won yesterday, there is no question of that. They should probably have had at least one penalty, but they had plenty of chances to wrap the game up anyway. The failure to do so meant that we dropped deeper and deeper as the game came to it’s conclusion, and Espanyol managed to force the ball into the net with just a minute left on the clock.

Benzema can play for Real Madrid against Espanyol 0

Posted on December 16, 2012 by admin

Jose Mourinho got a great boost today as his Real Madrid prepare to host Espanyol, hoping to cut the gap to the Primera Liga leaders Barcelona to eight points. It had looked like Mourinho would be without his two main strikers again, and was struggling with the decision whether to play Christiano Ronaldo down the middle again or give a start to the young reserve striker Alvaro Morata.

The French international, Karim Benzema, injured his ankle in the midweek cup game at Celta Vigo, and it was announced that only a miracle would allow him to play today. Mourinho must have been praying hard, then, as Benzema is in the squad and will probably start. The Argentinean front man Gonzalo Higuain is still a long term injury absence from Madrid.

Madrid looked unstoppable. yesterday, on their way to a 5-0 victory over Espanyol. Pochettino admitted that his side were never at the same level as a rampant Madrid, but that there was nothing he could have done against “los blancos.”
Real`s statistics for the season just keep getting better. They have now notched up 12 straight wins since defeat to Barcelona on matchday 16. Before that Madrid recorded another 10 straight wins so they have claimed 60 points from a possible 63.

UEFA president Platini praises Real Madrid 0

Michel Platini watched the demolition of Espanyol at the Bernabeu, yesterday, and was full of praise for the club afterwards. He said “at 2-0 I think the game was finished. Real Madrid has a very good midfield and is at a high level. The defense has been very serious and it has a classy attack.”
On the La Liga title, he said “this year I think that Real Madrid are more likely than Barcelona,” and also that “ten points are alot for Real Madrid to gain the title but the team most deserving will win, just as the strongest team will win the champion`s league.
Platini also stated that a Real Madrid vs. Barcelona champions league final would be “a good end” and “a good match.” He went on “They are very difficult games and the best team in Europe will win because it is a very tough competition. Games begin in September and end in May so the tem that wins will be the best.Since the beginning of the champion`s league, no team has triumphed in consecutive years so it is proven to be a very tough competition.”
On Real Madrid`s history he said “Real Madrid invented the modern game, won five consecutive European cups and is the best club in the world. It`s a myth, an ideology…. it`s magic.” I couldn`t put it better myself. Tomorrow the best club in the world will be 110 years old. Feliz cumpleanos.
Platini met today with the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and praised Spain on it`s drug policy, trying to calm the Spanish/French recent bad feeling.
