What Real Madrid fans can expect from Euro 2016? 0

Posted on May 19, 2016 by admin

Just one game to go for Real Madrid this season and it is certainly a big one and hopefully the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid on Saturday ends in the same result as we got two years ago. It would be nice for the nerves of anyone concerned with Los Blancos, however, if this Real Madrid side did not leave it as late as the last one.

But when the dust has settled on this huge European game, Real Madrid thoughts will turn to Euro 2016 and our preparations for next season and the summer tournament could have a significant effect on those preparations, for a number of reasons.

Zidane to keep same Real Madrid XI for Champions League final? 0

As Real Madrid still had a chance of nipping ahead of great rivals Barcelona to win this season’s La Liga title and be crowned champions of Spain, Zinedine Zidane would have had no thoughts of rotating his squad and resting players for the Champions League final, which they are favourites to win with every online Sportsbook.

Only a win would do for Real Madrid last weekend, which we got but unfortunately so did Barca meaning that we fell just short. However, with the boss having no injury problems to concern him, it looks like team that started against Deportivo La Coruna in the final league game is what Zidane sees as his best XI, so will that be the same side that starts the Champions League final against city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday?

BANG goes Bale for Real Madrid with another injury KO 0

Real Madrid face a crucial weekend in La Liga after fighting back brilliantly to move to within a point of league leaders Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Ancelotti’s men have really put the pressure on the front runners and have been building up to some ominously good form, so to get another injury setback to the new star Gareth Bale is a real blow.

According to Spanish news outlet AS, the Welshman is certain to miss this weekend’s away game at Athletic Bilbao, which already promised to give Real Madrid a stern test, especially as we are the last of the top three to play. Barcelona are at home to Valencia on Saturday while Atletico have a home game against Real Sociedad eartlier on Sunday.

Brilliant Bale helps Real Madrid win Champions League group 0

There may have been some concern among Real Madrid fans yesterday, with Cristiano Ronaldo ruled out of the Champions League game through injury. The opponents, Turkish champions Galatasaray, had improved a lot since Madrid beat then heavily in Istanbul, with Roberto Mancini working his magic, so people expected a tough test.

Those fears were much worse when Sergio Ramos was sent off for denying what the referee deemed to be a scoring opportunity. Although it was a bit soft, Ramos does it too often and must control himself, especially in Europe.

Real Madrid and Ronaldo hoping injury does not ruin chances 0

Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone concerned with Real Madrid must have been rubbing their hands in the last few weeks, but an injury picked up by the Portugal international star could really throw a spanner in the works for both club and player, although hopefully it will only be a short term problem.

Has Real Madrid boss finally found his best XI for Juventus? 0

Carlo Ancelotti takes his Real Madrid squad back to the country of his birth tonight to face the Italian champions Juventus in the Champions League. The Madrid boss experienced one of the worst spells of his football career with Juventus; his two tears in charge ending ignominiously when he was sacked at halftime of the final game of the season. So the manager will have an extra incentive to beat Juventus tonight, thereby ensuring top spot in the group for Madrid and probably condemning the Italians to the Europa League.

Bale Blast Off as Real Madrid run riot against Sevilla 0

Carlo Ancelotti may have a few things to say to his Real Madrid defenders this morning, but that could be a bit churlish and he will probably be in too good a move to bother. Apart from letting in three goals against Sevilla at the Bernabeu last night, everything went well for the Madrid boss.

Fair play to the visitors, they gave it a good go and played well, showing great resilience to come back from being three down after half an hour with two goals in as many minutes. But Madrid were on fire, inspired by Gareth Bale, who completed the whole 90 minutes on his full home debut. Playing on the right, which Ancelotti has declared will be his position, the Welshman tormented Sevilla with power, pace and trickery.

Bale WILL play for Real Madrid vs. Malaga today 0

Posted on October 19, 2013 by admin

Carlo Ancelotti has got a few of his Real Madrid stars missing for today’s La Liga visit of Malaga to the Bernabeu, most notably Rafael Varane, the young French international defender, who picked up a knock to his knee whil with the France team. It’s not serious, but it means that Pepe and Sergio Ramos will start today.

Another player who is a doubt, after sitting out yesterday’s training session with a bruised calf. The French striker may still be okay, and will surely be keen to continue his international form, where he scored in both games. Benzema has been working hard and has began to look like his old self, so he will not want to have to sit this one out.

Bale out with injury but Real Madrid confident of beating Copenhagen 0

Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that this week’s training ground meeting of Real Madrid players will have done it’s job. The crisis meeting was intended to foster more unity in the group and get all the players working hard and pulling in the right direction, to avoid a repeat of last season’s trophy-less disappointment.

Gareth Bale’s smooth introduction and settling in to the Madrid team has been disrupted again, which is hugely frustrating for Ancelotti, the fans but mostly the p[layer himself. The medical staff have revealed that the Welshman has got a muscle spasm in his left thigh, which is good news in one way because the club feared he may have suffered much worse damage. He definitely cannot play tonight, but is a possibility for the weekend game against Levante.

Is it time for Real Madrid to worry about Ancelotti? 0

When you take charge of a club like Real Madrid, there is a certain amount of pressure on your shoulders. Carlo Ancelotti would have been well aware of this when he took the job this summer, but he may not have realised just how tough his task would be, or how little time he would be given to sort things out.

Defeat to local rivals Atletico at the Bernabeu on Saturday, however, has brought everything to the boil. He was whistled by the Madrid home fans during the game, and the Spanish papers, especially the Madrid supporting ones AS and Marca, are not pulling their punches. Just like last season, Madrid have started the season slowly and this has allowed the two fierce rivals Barcelona and Atletico to pull away at the top of La Liga.
