Di Maria Red spoils Real Madrid win [with highlights] 0

Posted on February 25, 2013 by admin

Angel Di Maria received possibly the stupidest red card I have ever seen, to spoil what was looking like a great result for Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho knows he will not catch Barcelona to win La Liga, but there is still the small matter of overtaking Atletico Madrid for second place, and building momentum, so he will be pleased with the win.

Mourinho rested some key players for the trip to bottom-of-the-table Deportivo, but must still have been surprised at how much his team struggled. Deportivo sensed that the Madrid team was thinking about tomorrow’s Copa Del Rey second leg Clasico, and they very nearly took advantage. The striker Riki was a real thorn in the side throughout, and he gave Depor a deserved lead before half time, beating Lopez at the near post.

Real Madrid fans want Kaka back for Barcelona and Man United 0

It seemed as if the Brazilian midfielder Kaka was on his way out of Real Madrid in the summer, and then again in the January transfer window, but the deals never quite materialised. After a great performance in Madrid’s 2-o victory over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, however, his career at the Bernabeu may have a new lease of life. He worked tirelessly and showed great skill, especially after Sergio Ramos was sent off.

Good Real Madrid win ruined by terrible referee Romero (with highlights) 0

Jose Mourinho must be absolutely furious after seeing his Real Madrid side on the wrong side of a whole string of strange and incorrect decisions by the referee Paradas Romero. Thankfully, the result was not affected, and the player he sent off for two yellow cards will only miss next weekend’s game against Deportivo.

It was a real shame for the young striker Alvaro Morata who was given his first start in La Liga by Mourinho. The 20-year old striker who has done so well in the Madrid B team opened the scoring in the third minute after a sweeping move involving Ronaldo and Kaka. The Brazilian midfielder was also given a rare start and was determined to show that he can still grace any football pitch.

Mourinho rotates Real Madrid ahead of Man United UCL game 0

Jose Mourinho and his Real Madrid players are not expecting any miracles in La Liga. With 15 league games left, Barcelona are 16 points ahead and so Madrid have given up on retaining the title. All of their effort will now be concentrated on the Champions league and the Copa Del Rey.

With the visit of Manchester United to the Bernabeu on Wednesday firmly in mind, Mourinho has not included Xabi Alonso, Varane, Marcelo and Di Maria in the squad. These players are not really injured but have small niggles that Mourinho does not want to risk aggravating.

Real Madrid will not be selling Kaka to AC Milan 0

It appears that the Brazilian midfielder Kaka will be a Real Madrid player, at least until the summer, after talks broke down with the Seria A club AC Milan. The 30-year old signed from Milan for €65 million in 2009 and has a contract at the Bernabeu until 2015. He has dropped further and further down the pecking order at the club since Jose Mourinho took the reigns, and was happy to make the move back to his former club.

Di Maria thinks Refs are picking on Real Madrid 0

Real Madrid have been on the wrong side of some poor decisions this season, and it seems to have got worse recently. Kaka was sent off against Osasuna on Saturday for two yellow cards, both of which were extremely soft. The first was for an elbow when replays showed that he merely jumped with his hand up. The second was for impeding afree kick when the player just kicked the ball at him on purpose.

Mourinho must do without Alonso for Real Madrid vs. Real Zaragoza 0

Posted on November 02, 2012 by admin

The 30-year old midfield general, Xabi Alonso, played his 100th competitive game for Real Madrid in September and he has become one of the most reliable players at the club, if not the world. He also played his 100th game for the Spanish national side during Euro 2012. He marked that event with both goals as Spain beat France in the quarter finals, on their way to lifting the trophy again.

Jose Mourinho will have to shuffle his playing pack tomorrow, however, as Alonso is suspended for the game due to collecting his fifth yellow card in this La Liga season. Alonso has always been combative but does not normally get booked quite so often.

Kaka continues his Real Madrid rehabilitation with Brazil 0

Posted on October 14, 2012 by admin

Before the season started, the Brazilian midfielder Kaka looked like he was going to sit on the bench at Real Madrid as nobody would get near to the fee that Jose Mourinho was demanding for him. It would have effectively signalled the end of his international career with Brazil at the worst possible time, as they prepare for the Rio 2014 World Cup.

Whether it was the thought of missing out on the biggest football carnival the world has ever seen, or something that Mourinho said that got through to the 30-year old, but he has started to play again. His recent performances for Madrid earned him a call up to the national team for the first time in years.

Real Madrid could use Kaka, Modric or Ozil for crucial Clasico against Barcelona 0

Jose Mourinho has got big decisions to make for his Real Madrid team that is to face Barcelona in the Nou Camp on Sunday. The Classic is one of the biggest games in world football and this one is as important as any. Mourinho and Tito Vilanova know that a victory on Sunday could swing La Liga in their favour.

Kaka and Coentrao could return for Real Madrid vs. Deportivo 0

Posted on September 28, 2012 by admin

Deportivo travel to the Bernabeu on Sunday to face a Real Madrid side that will be desperate to win and are starting to show some of the form that saw then wrest the Spanish league title from Barcelona last season. Jose Mourinho has an almost complete and fit squad to choose from and could spring a few surprises in his team selection.

30-year old Brazilian midfielder, Kaka, nearly left Madrid in the summer and was told by Mourinho that he would struggle to get any playing time this year. The arrival of Luka Modric from Tottenham seemed to have sealed Kaka’s fate until Mourinho spoke to the player and agreed to give him one last chance.
