Real Madrid have no worries after Champions League draw with Schalke 0

Posted on December 16, 2013 by admin

There is not really any such thing as an easy game in the last 16 of the Champions League, but Real Madrid players, fans and manager will be quite pleased to have drawn the German Bundesliga club Schalke for the knockout games due to be played in February.

It could have been a lot worse and it could have been a little better. Zenit St. Petersburg or Olympiakos would probably have been the choice, but Madrid did very well to avoid Arsenal, Man City or AC Milan. Even better news is that Barcelona were drawn with Man City and Bayern were drawn with Arsenal, so two very strong sides will be going out.

As the long running saga of Gareth Bale and his transfer to Real Madrid rumbles on, the first game of La Liga is less than a week away. The transfer window is due to close in less than three weeks, and Madrid do not seem to be looking to sign any more players, other than the Welshman from Tottenham, but that may not be the last bit of transfer business the club does.

Real Madrid comfirm transfer of Isco from Malaga 0

Posted on June 27, 2013 by admin

Real Madrid have beaten the English Premier League’s Manchester City to make Isco the first signing of the newly appointed Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti’s reign at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. I am sure he won’t be the last player in or out of the club this summer, but his transfer is a real coup.

Not long ago, the talented young midfielder from Andalucia was believed to have agreed to follow his manager Manuel Pellegrini out of Malaga and La Liga to go to Man City, but Madrid have persuaded him to stay in Spain. Anybody who saw Malaga play last season in the Spanish league or the Champions League, as well as the recent under 21s tournament which Spain won, will know that Ancelotti has just got his hands on one of the most exciting young players in the world.

Kondogbia reveals dream of playing for Real Madrid 0

Geoffrey Kondogbia has been one of the best young players in the Spanish Primera Liga this season. Real Madrid are just one of the big clubs linked with a possible transfer this summer and the 20-year old Sevilla midfielder has offered plenty of encouragement to officials at the Bernabeu who may be considering signing him.

With Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all believed to be keen on the French under-20 international, Kondogbia was asked about a possible move from Sevilla this summer and which of the clubs most interested him and he was fairly unequivocal in his reply.

Jose Mourinho got the better of Roberto Mancini when Real Madrid and Manchester City met in the Champions league this season, and the Special One could be about to take the Italian’s job in the summer, according to reports. Mourinho still has four years of his contract with the Spanish champions to run, but recently the fans have been voicing their anger as Barcelona have stretched their lead to 11 points.

Real Madrid must not lose to Man City and hope Dortmund fail 0

If Real Madrid can avoid defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium tonight, the English champions will have crashed out at the group stages for the second year running and Jose Mourinho will be on the verge of progressing to the next round. That is the easy bit, the complicated part comes in the other game and the possible permutations in the Group of Death.

Ronaldo gets closer to leaving Real Madrid 0

Earlier in the season, after Christiano Ronaldo had refused to celebrate his two goals for Real Madrid against Getafe in La Liga, the story came out that Ronaldo was unhappy. He stated that the club were well aware of his feelings and there was a lot of media speculation about what the problems between club and player were.

Mourinho says Real Madrid will not pursue Falcao 0

Posted on October 13, 2012 by admin

The English Premier league clubs Chelsea and Manchester City will be ecstatic after hearing Jose Mourinho say that Real Madrid are not going to attempt to secure the transfer of the Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from their rivals Athletico Madrid.

Mourinho was giving an interview to A Bola in Portugal when he was asked about the prolific front man, who is level on league goals with Ronaldo and Messi.

“Falcao is a forbidden subject. He is a star and the fundamental player of our great rivals, just as Aguero was before. There is an unofficial sort of non-aggression pact between Madrid and Atletico.”

Mourinho wants England return – but at which club? 0

Posted on September 23, 2012 by admin

Jose Mourinho has told reporters that once his time at Real Madrid comes to an end, he wants to return to England and manage another club in the Premier League. The Real Madrid manager left Chelsea in 2007 and joined Italian giants Inter Milan. Mourinho who is called ‘The Special One’ spent 3 years with Chelsea, winning two Premier League titles, before he left in September 2007 after a strong disagreement with club owner Roman Abramovich.

But now the Portuguese national has stated his wish to return to the Premier League. Mourinho said;

Rumours of a rift between Ramos and Mourinho at Real Madrid 2

Posted on September 20, 2012 by admin

Jose Mourinho has tried to show that no player is too important to be dropped from the Real Madrid team by leaving vice-captain Sergio Ramos out of the team that came from behind to beat the English champions Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Ramos is normally guaranteed a start, so the rumour mill instantly started turning as reporters wondered what had happened to cause this. The favourite suggestion in the Spanish media is that Ramos took exception to the words of his coach after the league defeat by Sevilla.
