Real Madrid have transfer agreement with Dortmund star Gundogan 0

Posted on October 12, 2013 by admin

Real Madrid are poised to dash the hopes of some of the Premier League big boys, including Manchester United and Arsenal. Those two English clubs were thought to be the main contenders to complete the signing of the Germany international Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund, but it looks like they are going to miss out.

According to The Express, the 22-year old is heading to the Bernabeu, as Real Madrid have prepared an offer of around £25 million. The report also claims that there is already an agreement in principle for the transfer. Gundogan has apparently turned down the offer of a new contract from his Bundesliga club to extend his stay past the current deal which runs out in 2015.

Is it time for Real Madrid to worry about Ancelotti? 0

When you take charge of a club like Real Madrid, there is a certain amount of pressure on your shoulders. Carlo Ancelotti would have been well aware of this when he took the job this summer, but he may not have realised just how tough his task would be, or how little time he would be given to sort things out.

Defeat to local rivals Atletico at the Bernabeu on Saturday, however, has brought everything to the boil. He was whistled by the Madrid home fans during the game, and the Spanish papers, especially the Madrid supporting ones AS and Marca, are not pulling their punches. Just like last season, Madrid have started the season slowly and this has allowed the two fierce rivals Barcelona and Atletico to pull away at the top of La Liga.

Fans disagree but Real Madrid will stick with Benzema 0

Whether Florentino Perez and Carlo Ancelotti are acting in order to boost the confidence of the Real Madrid number nine, or if they are just outlining their transfer policy is anybody’s guess. The upshot is the same, however, and that is that Madrid will not be in the market for another striker when the transfer window opens in January.

The fans may not be too happy to hear it, especially after his performance on Sunday earned him the vocal disapproval of the Bernabeu crowd, but the French striker is probably glad to hear that his position as the club’s first choice centre forward is not under threat, at least for now.

Ozil’s dad slams Real Madrid president Perez 0

Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has certainly had a busy summer, especially in the transfer market. As well as selling or releasing a number of players, including Albiol, Callejon and Higuain to Napoli in Italy’s Serie A, Kaka back to his former club AC Milan and the big one, Mesut Ozil, the club has spent big again.

The three big names of Gareth Bale, Isco and Illarramendi have grabbed the headlines, but there have still been grumbling among the Madridistas. A poll revealed that the fans thought it was a big mistake to sell the German international midfielder to Arsenal, and Perez responded by revealing that the club was concerned that the 24-year old’s party lifestyle and obsession with beautiful women was interfering with his football career.

Have Real Madrid messed up with Ozil? 0

Both of the biggest transfer stories of yesterday involved Real Madrid. In the morning it was all about the presentation of the second most expensive signing in the world, Gareth Bale, to the Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, but then it all turned to Mesut Ozil.

Even at the presentation, when news was slipping out about the Germany international’s possible move to Arsenal, some Madrid fans were chanting at Florentino Perez not to sell Ozil. The president put his fingers to his lips, and obviously took no notice, because Arsenal did finally announce the transfer before the window closed. Many fans of Madrid have been critical of the decision, which appears to have been taken by the new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid transfer news – Bale, Kaka, Suarez and Ozil 0

About an hour ago, Gareth Bale was finally presented to the Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. This completes the longest running transfer of the summer. Almost 30,000 fans were there to see the Wales international, who is now the second most expensive footballer in history, just a little behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

The arrival of Bale seems to have triggered more business at the club, with Brazilian midfielder Kaka returning to his former club AC Milan in Italy’s Serie A. Kaka is also in the top five of transfers, but Madrid will get nothing back for him and his time at Madrid will have to be seen as a very expensive failure.

Isco and Ronaldo ease Real Madrid past Bilbao 0

It is fair to say that Real Madrid have looked far from their best so far this season, although they did manage to win the last two La Liga games. Both could have gone wrong but for some fortunate refereeing decisions, but we had plenty of bad ones last season, so you have to take the rough with the smooth.

In today’s early kick off, Athletic Bilbao came to the Santiago Bernabeu hoping to capitalise on Madrid’s slow start, but they were to be very disappointed. They came up against a much sharper looking Madrid side, with Luka Modric running things brilliantly from the middle of the pitch.

Bale to Real Madrid is DONE DEAL finally for €91 million 0

Posted on August 30, 2013 by admin

After all the talk of smashing the world transfer, it appears that Real Madrid have managed to bring the transfer fee for Gareth Bale down to a slightly more sensible amount of 84 million euros, with the possibility of it rising to 91 million if certain conditions are met, probably to do with goals, appearances and success.

Everything is in place at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid for the 24-year old Wales international, including a special new set of football boots made for him by Adidas which arrived by post today. We have still not heard official confirmation or found out when Bale will be presented to the Madrid fans, but it could well be tomorrow or Sunday.

Real Madrid to sell Ozil to United making room for Bale 0

It seems like Real Madrid will have to wait until the end of the transfer window in order to complete the world record signing of Gareth Bale. Most football insiders assume that the deal will be done, though. Tottenham are using the time to strengthen their squad, knowing that they will be losing their star players.

At the same time, Real Madrid are trying to raise some money, and they are going to do so by selling one or two of the players who are likely to fins themselves on the fringes of the team this season. With Bale coming and Isco, Illarramendi, Casemiro and Carvajal already signed, some players know that their opportunities will be limited.

6 star Real Madrid keep Barca waiting for title 0

There is still almost ho hope that Real Madrid can defend the Spanish Primera Liga title, but at least the players made sure that Barcelona would have to earn it. Anything less than a victory against Malaga at the Bernabeu last night would have meant the Catalan club sealing the league without playing.

It could have been a difficult night for Madrid, with feeling running high, especially against Jose Mourinho. The rumours of discordance in the dressing room and the fact that Malaga were desperate for points in their bid for Champions League football next season made it a potentially awkward encounter, but everything turned out great.
