Ronaldo signs new contract to keep him at Real Madrid forever 1

Posted on September 15, 2013 by admin

Any hopes that other teams may have had of prising Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid went up in smoke today. The Portuguese star has signed a new five year contract with the Spanish giants, ending all the rumour and speculation that has surrounded him for the last year.

Ever since he said, near the beginning of last season, that he was sad, there have been stories in the media linking him with Manchester United, City, Chelsea, PSG and others, but he insisted today that Madrid was his home and made a point of saying that he is happy. I wonder if Mr. Mourinho could have had anything to do with Ronaldo’s sadness, because he does seem to have a knack of pissing players off.

Benzema’s reaction to Higuain and Ancelotti boost for Real Madrid 0

Karim Benzema has cut a frustrated figure at Real Madrid recently. The French international striker was far from his best last season, although he still scored 20 goals in all competitions and provided 20 assists. His mannerisms and fitness when he returned for pre-season training was not very encouraging either, but that all seems to have changed now.

The 25-year old striker is now looking happy and sharp all of a sudden. He is obviously reacting well to the new manager Carlo Ancelotti, and he scored a good goal to win the friendly against PSG on Saturday. The squad is now in America to continue preparations for La Liga, and Benzema seems ready to prove that the club will not miss Ginzalo Higuain who signed for Rafa Benitez at Napoli at the weekend.

Have Arsenal bid for Suarez to force Real Madrid to release Higuain? 0

There was a very unexpected story this weekend in the English media, and it could all be designed to convince Real Madrid to stop being stubborn and let Gonzalo Higuain complete his transfer to the English Premier League club Arsenal. The Telegraph has reported that Arsenal have made a formal bid of £30 million to Liverpool for their striker Luis Suarez.

That creates two possible problems for Real Madrid, because Luis Suarez is believed to be one of the club’s main transfer targets this summer, while Higuain is for sale and Arsenal were the favourites to sign him. Arsene Wenger is well known for being a tough and shrewd negotiator, and there is a feeling that the Suarez bid is nothing more than a ploy.

Real Madrid transfer rumours can be completed now Ancelotti is official 0

The long awaited appointment of a new Real Madrid manager has been completed and officially announced by the club today, with the PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti taking charge as expected. The Italian has been given a three year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu. His task will be the same as that given to his predecessor Jose Mourinho; to end the dominance of Barcelona and win the historic 10th European cup for Real Madrid.

Blanc to PSG means Real Madrid have got Ancelotti 0

Well it has been a long drawn out process that has had everybody concerned with Real Madrid biting fingernails, gnashing teeth or whatever it is we do to relieve frustration. The wait is about to be over, and we can expect an official announcement from Real Madrid very soon.

The hold up has not been selecting a manager, Florentino Perez has known all along that he wanted Carlo Ancelotti. The problem has been that Ancelotti, by winning the French Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain, he automatically triggered an extra year on his contract. The owners of PSG were determined not to repeat Madrid’s mistake, so we have had to wait for them to find a replacement.

Ronaldo Facebook statement does NOT mean he is leaving Real Madrid 0

There has been a lot of talk about Cristiano Ronaldo and his future at Real Madrid, pretty much since the start of last season, when the club were struggling and the players did not seem to be getting on with the manager Jose Mourinho. There was talk of dressing room rows and splits between the players, but that all seems to have died down now Mourinho has left.

Now PSG want to hijack Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid 0

These French clubs are really starting to get on my nerves. Real Madrid have already lost out to Monaco for Radamel Falcao, with rumours about them also planning a massive bid for our best player Cristiano Ronaldo. PSG appear to want to get in on the act now, with a bid to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham ahead of Madrid.

Florentino Perez has been careful to act with respect in the attempt to make Carlo Ancelotti the new man in charge at the Bernabeu, because he still has a year left on his contract with the French champions. According to the English media, the Qatari owners of PSG are determined to outbid Madrid for Bale, although the Welshman has already spoken about his respect for the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid to pay PSG €4m compensation for Ancelotti 0

Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, is still trying to deflect the media speculation about Carlo Ancelotti becoming the new coach, suggesting that the club is considering various options. Meanwhile, the Spanish newspaper Marca, which has close connections to Real Madrid, has revealed that Ancelotti’s current club Paris Saint-Germain has agreed to accept €4 million in compensation for losing their manager with a year left to run on his contract.

Heynckes now favourite to land Real Madrid job 0

The position of manager at Real Madrid is one of the biggest jobs in the world of football. Jose Mourinho is one of the few coaches to be given three years in charge at the Bernabeu, in recent history anyway. In the last 30 years, only Vicente Del Bosque and Leo Beenhakker have also had three seasons. The usual time span for a Madrid coach is a single season.

Ancelotti to reunite Rooney with Ronaldo at Real Madrid 0

Posted on May 26, 2013 by admin

When Real Madrid paid around £80 million for Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2009, it split up a fantastic playing partnership between the Portuguese star and his Manchester United team mate Wayne Rooney. They seemed to have an inherent understanding, with Rooney being one of the few players who can see the same things as Ronaldo does on the pitch. He also has the ability to make those things happen.

The England international is unsettled at Old Trafford, apparently, and there are a number of clubs hoping to take advantage, including Chelsea, Man City and PSG. United and their new manager David Moyes do not want to lose him, but if they cannot persuade Rooney to extend his current contract, finances may force them to sell.
