Real Madrid experience vital ahead of PSG tie 0

Posted on December 13, 2017 by admin

Real Madrid fans everywhere will be bemoaning the recent draw for the first knockout round of the Champions League, with the Spanish giants set to entertain Paris St Germain. The French club will not exactly be ecstatic at facing one of the tournament favourites so early in the competition, with the tie the most appealing of the round and set to be a heavyweight clash atypical of the first knockout round. Real Madrid typically thrive on this type of affair, however, and will always fancy their chances over two legs against any team in the world.

Real Madrid punished for not finishing Espanyol 0

Jose Mourinho has admitted that Real Madrid will need a miracle if they are to retain the Spanish Primera Liga title this season. The champions have already dropped more points than they did in the whole of the last campaign, while Barcelona have enjoyed a record breaking start to their season.

Real Madrid should have won yesterday, there is no question of that. They should probably have had at least one penalty, but they had plenty of chances to wrap the game up anyway. The failure to do so meant that we dropped deeper and deeper as the game came to it’s conclusion, and Espanyol managed to force the ball into the net with just a minute left on the clock.

Dortmund expect a Real Madrid backlash in Champions League 0

The Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels knows that Real Madrid will be out for revenge after the German side stunned the Spanish champions in the last outing. Jose Mourinho knows that his team must win, with a difficult trip to Manchester City waiting in the final Champions League game of the group.

Hummels feels that Madrid will try to steamroller the German champions and is expecting a raucous atmosphere at the Bernabeu, but is adamant that the Dortmund team can stand up to the test. The 23-year old German international knows that a draw would put his team favourite to win the group and avoid some of the best teams in the competition.

Can Real Madrid beat their German jinx against Dortmund in the Champions League? 0

History is not on the side of Real Madrid as they travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund in matchday three of this season’s champions league. The astonishingly bad record of Madrid in Germany is a cause for concern for Jose Mourinho, as is the long injury list currently plaguing the Spanish champions.

Tonight will be the 24th time that Real have travelled to Germany for European competitions and they have won just once so far, against Bayer Leverkusen 12 years ago. Madrid have lost 16 of those matches and know they will be facing a loud ans passionate home crowd.

Real Madrid need to be wary of Borussia Dortmund 0

Real Madrid have had a good start so far in the Champion’s league, with perhaps a bit of luck against the English Premier league champion’s Manchester City. The next two games for Jose Mourinho come against the German champions Borussia Dortmund.

Six points from these games would see Madrid sitting on top of the group of death almost assured of winning it. Not so fast, though. Machester City were stunned by Dortmund at the Etihad stadium and needed a goalkeeping master class from Joe Hart and a last minute, slightly debatable, penalty from Mario Balotelli to rescue a point against the Germans.

Real Madrid fans given hope for La liga after Ronaldo secures a draw against Barcelona 0

Going to face Barcelona at the Nou Camp is never an easy proposition, but Real Madrid and their fans had extra reasons for concern before yesterday’s Clasico. Barcelona had a 100 percent record in the league and a defeat would have left Jose Mourinho and his team a massive 11 points behind the leaders. It was not just the gaining of a point that has inspired confidence for the future, but the manner in which it was gained.

Will former player Guti get coaching role at Real Madrid? 0

Posted on September 22, 2012 by admin

Real Madrid Legend Guti has announced his retirement from professional football. The former Madrid man made over 400 appearances for the Spanish Champions before leaving on a free transfer to join Besiktas in the summer of 2010. He was then released in November 2011 and has been without a club ever since and now Guti has decided to call an end to his magnificent career.

Guti told Spanish media outlet Marca.com;

Real Madrid could bring in Modric and Pepe against Barcelona 2

New signing Luka Modric will be available for the second leg of the Suoercopa against FC Barcelona tomorrow. The Croatian has not been training with his team mates in an effort to show Tottenham that he was desperate to leave and join Madrid. Pepe has been recovering from a nasty bang on the head and has been given the all clear by medical experts.

Jose Mourinho will be glad to have his gladiator Pepe back in action. The Portuguese manager has apparently given the whole squad a dressing down after their defeat by Getafe on Sunday. Mourinho told the press that he would not comment on what he said to his players, but admitted that every single part of the performance was not up to scratch.

Christiano Ronaldo wants to retire at Real Madrid 0

Posted on June 05, 2012 by admin

“I am not just saying this, I am sincere, I want to finish my career here. I would sign today for ten years if I could, but this is something that also depends on other people.”

Ronaldo gave an interview to Spanish newspaper Marca before heading off to Euro 2012, and it was clear that the Portuguese genius was buzzing after a fantastic season with Real Madrid.

The striker only missed 70 minutes of league football this season and his goals and all round play were a major factor in Madrid’s recapture of the Spanish title. He says that he wants to do even better next season, although I am not sure how he could.

crucial classico 0

Saturday night, camp nou, 8 `o`clock, don`t miss it. This game could be an all-time classic.

Barcelona looked unbeatable after despatching AC Milan but are now showing chinks in their armour. Remember that they had slipped to ten points behind Madrid in la liga before Real had a bad run. Any team can hit an obstacle and Jose`s old team, chelsea, may have done him a huge favour in halting Barcelona`s run of form.
