Despite the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez trying to persuade the media last week that Gonzalo Higuain might still be playing at the Santiago Bernabeu next season, it has been an open secret for some time that the Argentinean striker would be leaving the club this summer, and now we are learning that he will be playing in the English Premier League next season with Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger apparently made Higuain his number one priority as soon as he heard that the 25-year old striker was on the market. The London club lost the league’s top scorer Robin van Persie to their rivals Manchester United last year, but their new financial power has allowed Arsenal to beat off the Italian champions Juventus in the battle for Higuain. ......Read more...

I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say that Jose Mourinho has had an absolute nightmare with injuries for Real Madrid this season. Since it began last summer, Mourinho has hardly ever been able to select from a full squad and this can be seen in the gap to Barcelona in the Primera Liga. This also means that the Copa Del Rey and the Champions league have taken on an even greater significance than usual for Los Blancos and the special one, because a season without trophies is unacceptable at a club like Real Madrid. ......Read more...

The “Daily Express” has reported Real Madrid`s desire to sign Robin Van Persie, Arsenal`s star striker. The Dutchman is having his best ever season for the London club, and Real are reportedly willing to offer thirty million euros to prise him awaay from Arsene Wenger`s team.
Another team closely watching Van Persie is big spending Manchester City so competition could be fierce. Madrid are known to be keen on a current Manchester City player, the Argentinian striker “Kun” Aguerro. Diego Maradona`s son-in-law has been out of the side quite a bit with injuries and Mancini`s rotation policy.
